Our trip to the Museum

Museum

We went to Museum and looked at the pictures and sculptures. We had to use Kairangahua, Kaiwhakarite, Whaiwhakaaro.Then we went to the gallery and looked for some patterns we could use on our pieces of art.then we went to a room and got all of your supplies
and started do our art. What we did for our art we got a foam sheet and any colour paper then we grabbed a skewer and stabbed the skewer into the foam  and made a stamp. Then we painted the foam any colour we want and then we placed the paper on the painted foam and then we rolled it with a roller thing  and then we pulled the paper off then we had to sign it and named it.

We were learning to make a quick write about Koru and how they look like. The learning assets we needed to use were self manger. We had to use one of these, Alliteration, simile or verbs I used alliteration.

Next time I need to use verbs and more alliteration to make the writing more interesting so if someone was reading my writing they might make them bored.

We were learning what author purpose is by reading slides then answering on another slide.Our learning assets were Kairangahau and Kaiwhakarite.

I found it easy to read the text and answer all the questions because the text was really easy.

I enjoyed reading this because it was smaller than other texts that I read.

Non copyright google drawing.

 

We were learning to make a noncopyright on google drawings, there was 12 places that we needed to fill up they were, your name, your favourite thing , favourite colour, your dream destination, your age, your favourite animal, what you love, your home country, favourite subject, favourite food, your family, and your nickname.For mine I did Danika for my name, a rat for favourite thing, blue for favourite colour, EIffel tower for dream destination, 10 for my age, a chinchilla for favourite animal, maori for where you live, your favourite subject at school, Favourite food, your family and you nickname.

I found it easy to think of what I was going to place in in the boxes and place my nickname and my name because I knew what they are.

I found it hard to not place any words into the places because we weren't allowed to place words in them.

science

we were doing science and this science was sorting the right elements into gases or flames. My buddy was Mia. There was 16 different cards that we had to sort in to the right groups.

I enjoyed sorting them into groups because they already gave hints on were they would go and there as a maori side and a english side.

I found it easy to find what group they went in because they had hints were they would go and also had the same thing on the card that we needed to find.

Room 2s road safety video

 

We were learning to make a video about road safety to advertise being safe round the road we used imovie to create the movie. Also using imovie for the first time for some people. We did this for road safety week.

I found it easy to use imovie because i've used it before and working in my group because we worked better together and we had different ideas so we added all of the ideas in to the video so it would be longer.

I found it hard to find a space that other people weren't in so they wouldn't be in our video and also the last day we had to do it in two people were away so me and other friend had to do it together and finish it.

I really enjoyed working friends that I can work better with and us able to choose who is in our group which made it easy to finish the video and we were able to go to different crossings not just one crossing.

Next time my group needs to choose a different video template because we choose a really long one with lots of clips in it and make the clips different.

The DOOR!

 

For our writing we have been writing Narratives. We have been learning to add a great hook in or opening line to our writing and to start our sentences in different ways.

This week we also had to have a smile and alliteration in our writing. This slide shows my hook in, sentence beginnings, simile and alliteration.

We are using our Kaiwhakarite/Self Manager learning asset by reflecting on our learning.

My PB4L

We were learning how to show respect in different places around our school. I did this challenge with Masha, Eden and Porshia, we got classrooms but all the other ones are All settings, Playground, Assembly/hall and EOTC, no one got EOTC because we haven't done EOTC yet.

I found it easy to find the spots because we had to do it inside our classroom and we knew were everything was and what we could do with the equipment. Also I got to work with people I know and know what they were more comfortable with.

I found hard because lots of people were coming in  and out of the classroom to ask the teacher what the sentence means and how they would do it this got quite frustrating because they got into our photos and then we would have to do it again.

Learning kete

 
We were learning to do a learning kete all about things that we like doing at school, where we like learning I like learning on a tower table, what's our favourite subjects are mine are math,reading and art, who is the person that helps us get through learning which mine is Masha, what are our tools for learning which I have multiple, our growth mindset, who we feel about learning, our favourite quote and our road blocks.

I found it easy to think about what I was going to add to my slides because I knew what to do on them because it was easy to understand all the text and the instructions also it was very clear. On some of the others I found it easy to find all my images.

I found it hard to place all my images in the slide because it was very full with all the different images but I wanted to add more but couldn't really because it was to full also I found hard to move all my text boxes because there was too much writing.

I enjoyed that we got to sit with our friends because I got some ideas to place on my images and text boxes and how to place then also that we got to share our ideas to the teacher so other kids got to do something like it.

Next time I will add a bit more detail in the writing part only because I only wrote a couple of words and it needed a bit more than I did.

My how to care for a chromebook

We were learning to make a comic on this website called Comix, we had to make a comic about how to take care of a chromebook and what is the lesson from it.  Also trying to get people to be more careful with chromebooks and listen to people that are giving good advice.

I found it easy to add all the text boxes to the comic because there was only like to clicks so you can get it in and I had to think of a story that could happened but hopefully not but it sounds like it could happen one day to someone.

I found it hard to choose what character for this comic because there was multiple different characters to choose from and there was none that I really like but then I came across the one that is in the comic before I found it I saw one that could work but it didn't have the emotions that I wanted.

I really enjoyed this because I got to sit with all my friends and getting to choose our own characters and not a one that is to bland and boring because then they will all look the same.

Next time I need to work a bit faster  because I was quite behind because I was talking to my friends on what character I wanted to do and also and a background on the comic because it looks very boring and maybe some more characters.

Bio Poem


 

My Te Whare Tapa Wha

We were learning to make a Te whare tapa wha connection map. With this learning we had to place in things such as Te taha hinengaro,  Te taha whanau, Te taha tinana, Whenua and Te taha wairua. For Te taha hinengaro I did a music note meaning music and friends , Te taha tinana I did biking and going to the beach with them, Te taha wairua I did a heart that says be kind and a smiley face, Te taha Tinana for me was biking, ballet, clarinet and St John and for whenua is Germany. 

I found it easy to find my images and what words I had to because I just had to think about what I like to do, my family, where I'm from, my spiritual and mental & emotional.  Also I found it easy because we didn't have to do complicated pictures.

I found it hard to arrange all the pictures and words so they didn't look like there all together and make it look all messy, otherwise it will be really hard to read and not know where everything will go.

I really enjoyed that we could choose what to do and we got to see another one so we could get an idea of what our Te Whare Tapa Wha could look like and also we could ask a friend if we needed help.

Next time I need to try make my font a bit bigger.  I also could change the colour of the text and make the images bigger because I have space to make them bigger.
